The Community Foundation of Louisa County (CFLC) is marking its 20th anniversary by giving back to the community it has served for two decades. As part of its “20 Years of Impact” initiative, CFLC awarded $20,000 to local food pantries and $200 to each library across Louisa County.
Founded in 2005, CFLC has been a steadfast partner in strengthening Louisa County through strategic philanthropy, grantmaking, and community collaboration. This anniversary initiative reflects CFLC’s continued commitment to supporting core services that enhance the quality of life for residents.
“Our food pantries and libraries are cornerstones of our community,” said Kelse Truitt, Director of CFLC. “By supporting these vital organizations, we are honoring our past 20 years of giving while investing in a stronger future for Louisa County.”
In addition to the anniversary grants, CFLC is launching a $2,000 match incentive for every new endowment opened. Endowment Funds are permanent charitable funds that provide sustainable, long-term support to specific causes and organizations. This matching opportunity is designed to make it easier than ever for donors to create lasting legacies.
The $20,000 in anniversary funds were distributed among all food pantries and libraries in Louisa County, enhancing food security, educational opportunities, and equitable access to community resources for residents of all ages.
In one of several presentations across the county, Donna Williams of CFLC presented a donation to Kathy Barrick of the Southeast Louisa County Food Pantry.

As CFLC celebrates this milestone, it remains focused on its mission to foster community growth, resilience, and well-being for the next 20 years and beyond.
