The Community Foundation of Louisa County (CFLC) is pleased to announce that Danielle Black has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Advancing Community Healthcare Scholarship. Black was awarded $5,000 to support her pursuit of a Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner degree through Purdue Global University.

A Registered Nurse with 15 years of healthcare experience, Black is continuing her education to expand the level of care she can provide for patients and families. Her professional experience, commitment to healthcare, and plans to serve the needs of rural communities made her a strong candidate for this year's award.

The Advancing Community Healthcare Scholarship Endowment Fund was established by the Community Healthcare of Wapello Board. The endowed fund provides annual scholarship support to healthcare professionals who live or work in Louisa County and are pursuing advanced education, with preference given to individuals seeking nurse practitioner credentials.

The Community Foundation of Louisa County extends its sincere appreciation to the donors whose foresight and generosity make this annual scholarship possible. Their commitment helps strengthen the future of healthcare in Louisa County and supports professionals dedicated to serving local communities.
